Victorian Detached House Renovation
Although already a large house, the new owners felt some rooms were too small and lacked the grandeur the property deserved.

Although already a large house, the new owners felt some rooms were too small and lacked the grandeur the property deserved.
What we did
The design required the entire gable end to be removed and rebuilt slightly further out, enlarging the dining room and the bedroom above and creating space for an en-suite. We reclaimed the existing bricks and laid them in lime mortar, matching the original laying pattern and bed size exactly, and replicated roof and fascia details.
The result
Now the work has weathered in, it is difficult to tell where the property was extended — the modest addition completely changed the feel of the house.
