What makes us different

We strongly believe that every project should be carried out to a high standard and that you should have a firm price to budget to from the outset. There is nothing worse than costs escalating once work starts, this causes uncertainty and stress which is what we want to avoid. Our aim is to provide you with a quality project along with a stress free build process.

There are several ways that we achieve this, if you are at the stage of considering a project we can give you an initial idea of cost based on a phone call and a few photographs, this will be a general idea of cost based on our experience and previous projects that we have carried out. This may not be suitable for complex renovations and an initial site visit would be required. If you decide to proceed further with your ideas the next step would be to get  architects drawings prepared, you may have already had this done, if not we can  provide recommendations of architects that we have previously worked with. When detailed drawings are available we can write a specification of work for your project, all elements of the build will be priced individually for clarity. It may take several site visits and revisions of this document before we arrive at a fixed price to carry out your project.

We are confident in this process and are therefore able to offer fixed price contracts, the only additional costs should be if you change the specification or add to the work required. We always notify you of the extra costs associated with the changes that you make before work is carried out.  We would always recommend that you allow a contingency sum in your budget when planning your project, most eventualities can be covered but occasionally unforeseen things do crop up that are totally out of the ordinary especially when dealing with old buildings.
